My niece, Sara, comes to visit and experience the Cali life.......

....and we weren't for sure if she was really going to get back on the plane!!!!  But, she did.  A senior in high school this next year...one year left.  I was honored to get to take her Senior Pictures for her.  We had fun and got some smoking hot photos!  It was a great time and challenging at that...trying to entertain and keep 3 crazy boys out of all the photos.  Here is just a sampling of them...

She even watched the boys for us for one night so that Eric and I could get a much needed "date night" in...those don't happen around here and it was much appreciated!  Thank you, Sara!
Our date night.......

Eric's last year of the 30's Birthday...

So...he said not to post this on Facebook...but he didn't say anything about our blog!

What to do, what to do for the big 4 - 0 next year....hmmmmmmm.  Some ideas going on.  I guess we will have to wait and see!

We celebrated the day before with going to the beach with a good friend of ours...and of course the homemade carrot cake.

Happy Birthday, Bud!

Andrew aka Messy Marvin is 10 months old...

A picture says a thousand words, right?  Andrew is growing by leaps and bounds.  He is cruising, standing on his own and even has taken a few steps these past two days.  I am so not ready for my "baby" to start being to that stage yet...but it has been so fun and we are enjoying every moment of it......even these moments.....

He is into EVERYTHING!  But he's so darn cute that it's so hard to stop him when he is just exploring and figuring out this big world.  He eats so much, too!  And such a healthy eater at that.  I do know that I am in dire need of a day without changing a diaper.......

Hard to believe in two more months, T-man will be one year old.  Sniff, sniff....

Busy week/months at the Trujillo house...

Alright, so I'm not so great at keeping up with this blog...surprise, surprise!  We have had so much going on these past months, I seriously don't know where to start.  So, I guess I'll start with this..............

Eric and his boys...

It is not easy getting a decent photo with all of them together.
This was taken on Father's Day.  The boys all made t-shirts declaring their love for their Daddy...

Grandpa & Grandma come for a visit...

Three weeks ago, Rose and Bill ventured out to see us and brought along Bill's Aunt and Cousin from Wisconsin.  Eric and I had been waiting to meet Janet and Suzy for years since we had heard so much about them.  They definitely lived up to all their stories!  We had a great time and miss everyone...

Sam's last day of Jr. Kindergarten...

What a great year Sam had...an amazing teacher, eight great classmates (all boys) and a wonderful program at Grace.  We are very blessed that we found this opening here...

Next year....Kindergarten!

School is finally out!

I'm sure I'm going to eat those words in about 2 weeks when the boredom sinks in...or lack of sleep from playing so hard all day long.  I remember being so excited for summer vacation...then after a few weeks missing my friends so much as I never got to see them since I lived in the middle of nowhere on a farm.  I am looking forward to not spending half of my day in my vehicle, getting Andrew on somewhat of a nap schedule and making some great summertime memories.

Eric is taking Jack and Sam to the Angels vs Rockies baseball game this weekend in celebration of a great school year by both of them.

Next year...Sam will be conquering Kindergarten...in Spanish as he was accepted into the Immersion Program, too.  Jack will be entering 3rd grade...some of my fondest childhood memories where right around his age.

Happy Summer everyone!!!!

Enjoy!

...where's my bottle of wine now??

8 months old...

Everyone has to start somewhere...just like Mozart did...

Loves his music...even "sings" himself to sleep.

Mandatory...

These little seats need to become a set standard in public bathrooms...

MOHAWK!

I figured, it sticks straight up anyway.  And when in Cali...

Yes, it's on the blonde side...must be the sunshine.  :)
Try giving this type of a haircut to an 8 month old...not easy...

Happy Father's Day!!

To the two most important men in my life...

Haha...funny, I know!

To TRI or not to try...

Almost a year ago, as I was sitting in the California sun, I had heard about this triathlon that they have at the lake no more than one mile from our home.  As I stood there...very pregnant...I stated that I was going to be participating in that event in 2010.

Well, here it is...2010...and the OC Triathlon is 16 weeks away.  I have thought about it in the recent weeks, but was beginning to write it off as I don't have the first clue about triathlons, nor do I have any of the gear needed...except for a pair of running shoes.

So, here I am saying what the hell...I'm going for it.  It is on the 12th anniversary of my Grandfather passing away and I figure at those times when I am about to give up, I will just think of him poking his finger (hard) into my side and telling me to pick it up.  Please think of me and wish me luck in the upcoming weeks...I will definitely need it.  Any tips or advice is appreciated.  Hopefully I don't drown on my first attempt to swim.  Seriously.  If I cross the finish line on this one...it will be a HUGE accomplishment for myself.  Huge...

SWIM - 1.5K - 0.9 miles
BIKE - 40K - 24.8 miles
RUN - 10K - 6.2 miles

Swimming Lessons

We have one week of swimming lessons under our belts so far.  Initially, Jack was super motivated to pass everything that needed to be to get on the swim team and Sam didn't even want to go to the lessons.  Now, they have both moved up a level, Sam can already swim and he is determined to get on the swim team as well.
Finally a swim school that I love.  They have great teachers that are detailed, reward the kids and move them up to the next level when they are ready instead of waiting until the month is over.
